Although Valentine’s Day has long passed, it’s celebration earlier this year was the reason we visited Radisson Blu Hotel’s Bistro Fax Restaurant.  Located on O’Connell Street in the heart of Sydney’s financial district, this boutique style hotel’s restaurant had, we were told, a lot to offer.

Don’t know if UnderCover Diners agree with the Restaurant’s name.  I am sure there are many younger readers out there who don’t know what a fax is.  On arrival we received a very warm welcome from a most affable hostess.  We were more than pleased with the special all-inclusive 5 course Valentine’s Day menu presented to us for the evening, which was accompanied by a bottle of French Pinot Noir Chardonnay Brut.

The total cost was $95 per person which also included a beautifully presented rose.  UnderCover Diners thought this was excellent value.  The live piano in the background gave atmosphere to this special evening.  Some of Bistro Fax’s diners were choosing from the regular menu and we must say, the food looked very appetizing.

Lunch and dinner specials offer a two course menu with a beverage for $35 per person.  Choose from the two selections in each category of starters, main and dessert with a choice of red or white wine, draft beer or soft drinks.  This will certainly not break the expense account.

Ambience, service and good tasty food are what we look for and we were not disappointed.

UnderCover Diners will definitely be returning to try their lunch.
