MARINI CAFE MAROUBRA BEACH Right opposite the beach at Maroubra, on the corner of McKeon Street, Marini Cafe offers a large selection of coffee and meals that will delight. Their extensive All Day Breakfast Menu lists many favourites including eggs benedict served with your choice of ham or salmon. A popular choice is the Big Breakfast for $16.50 consisting of eggs, bacon, tomato, hashbrown, mushroom, baked beans, chipolata and toast. The servings leaving the kitchen were very generous and well presented.

The Chef/Owner, Shahid, originally from Bangladesh, has been cooking ever since arriving in Australia over ten years ago. For lunch I chose the Aussie Beef Burger, complete with beetroot, cheese, fried egg, lettuce, tomato and the best chunky chips I have had in a long time. My partner ordered a BLTA, bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado on turkish bread, served with a generous helping of chips. We decided to share a dessert of thick fluffy pancakes, smothered with fresh bananas and berries, two large scoops of ice cream and maple syrup on the side. This large dessert could easily be shared by a family.   Kids are also well catered for with Baby Cinos at $1.00 plus a large selection of kid friendly food items. Marini Cafe is open from 7a.m. and the best news is that they will now be open for dinner until 10 p.m., from Wednesday to Sunday, featuring traditional Indian dishes priced under $20. BYO with no corkage. Bookings may be made on 9344 9908. Street parking with no metres, bus at the door. We will certainly be returning to Marini Cafe to try their new curry menu.
