Been Cruising in Europe all April
By John Pond. Sorry for the lack of recent blogs. Sandra and I have been in Europe for 5 weeks, River Ship Cruising and doing hotel reviews. Although we took our trusty Mac, reception on river ships is less than perfect so was unable to blog regularly and just gave up. Most guests complained of lack of reception and very slow internet services when connected. Expect to see lots of blogs coming up soon. We have two great reviews from Avalon and Viking, plus some great reports on the best hotels to stay in Europe and Dubai.
We flew Emirates most of the way, except for a short internal flight on KLM from Amsterdam to Budapest, during which we were served two slices of black bread without butter, containing a thin slice of processed cheese, boy how we wished we were back on Emirates where outstanding service and superior food are the norm. (we paid for our tickets, so no free plugs here ).
I took over 5000 photos and have and believe I have some great images to pass along especially as it was tulip season there were photo opportunities in every direction. Very cold, but great temperatures for walking. Stay tuned, when I get over my jet lag and start blogging in earnest and writing articles for my favourite magazines. John is Editor at Sea of Australia's leading cruise magazine, Travel & Cruise Editor for The Retiree Magazine, Destinations Magazine and Spectator Group of Newspapers. John reviews cruise ships, Destinations and Hotels, and is ably assisted by his Associate Editor and partner, Sandra Tiltman.
